A small guide to
seeing changes.
The change record
The copied output starts with --- before.txt and +++ after.txt. Each original line is prefixed with a space, minus or plus. This is a readable full change record, not an apply-ready unified patch: it has no hunk headers and should not be passed to patch or git apply.
Exact lines, bounded work
The tool uses a longest common subsequence of lines. Repeated lines may have several equally valid alignments. Spaces and tabs are significant; CRLF and CR line endings become LF. A final newline is represented as an extra empty line. Empty text has zero lines.
Each side accepts up to 600 lines and 60,000 characters. Larger inputs show a limit message. This tool compares text; it does not parse or apply existing patch files. There is no remote API.
